TV hightlights: Thirteen new episodes of ‘House of Cards’


RETURNING SHOW : For those who are basking in Valentine’s Day misery, Netflix is here for you. In the first waking moments of the day, “House of Cards” (Netflix at 12:01 a.m.) will be back with 13 new episodes at your fingertips so you can stuff yourself with chocolate and see what trouble Rep. Francis Underwood can get himself into.


Tonight, “XXII Winter Olympics” (NBC at 8 p.m.) features the medal ceremony for men’s figure skating (Patrick Chan of Canada is a favorite), finals in men’s Alpine skiing (likely to feature Ted Ligety and Bode Miller from the United States), women’s freestyle skiing (aerials) and women’s skeleton.




“Tosh.0 Sports Night” (Comedy Central at 8) celebrates Sochi by showing the series’s most astonishing and embarrassing sports highlights.


“Oprah: Where Are They Now?” (OWN at 9) checks in on Lisa Marie Presley, Jane Seymour and the English musician Adam Ant.


“Say Yes to the Dress: The Big Day” (TLC at 9) has a self-proclaimed “spoiled” bride who thinks she’ll get whatever she wants, thanks to her unlimited budget.


Presented as a “Great Performances” special, “National Theatre: 50 Years on Stage” (MPT at 9 and WETA at 9:30) celebrates the greatest stage in Britain with live extracts and archival footage from the theater’s productions. “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead” with Benedict Cumberbatch, “Mourning Becomes Electra” with Helen Mirren and archival footage of Dame Judi Dench in “A Little Night Music” are highlights.


Hosted by Wendy Williams, the special “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” (Investigation Discovery at 10) reveals the tactics of real people scorned by lousy lovers, presenting breakup stories that are undoubtedly strange.


FNC’s senior political analyst, Brit Hume, hosts “A Bush Family Album” (Fox News Channel at 10), a one-hour segment that brings the personal scrapbook and World War II diary of former president George H.W. Bush to life with the assistance of his wife, children and close friends.


A bride needs a dress with sleeves for a conservative ceremony on “Something Borrowed, Something New” (TLC at 10). But when presented with her mother’s puffy monstrosity from 1992, she isn’t sure if it’s the right one for her wedding to her high-school sweetheart.


Ex-pro football star and television personality Michael Strahan is on the “Late Show With David Letterman” (CBS at 11:35), with music from country starlet Jennifer Nettles.


Actors Zac Efron and Alison Brie stop by “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (ABC at 11:35), with a musical performance by Sara Bareilles.
